Sir Gilbert Levine conducts a special concert in honor of the one-year anniversary of the beatification of Pope John Paul II. "Peace Through Music" was performed Symphony Center, 220 S. Michigan Ave., on April 23. Levine directed the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Chorus and a quartet of international vocalists. Levine, who created this concert for Chicago, presented the concert with Cardinal George and a host of Chicago's religious, cultural and musical organizations.
